During our stay at New Hope Community Services, we learned a lot of things, such as how to budget & manage our cash flow. New Hope also gave us the opportunity to upgrade ourselves and also supported us with groceries such as rice, milk and cookies.

Eventually, we managed to buy our own 3-room HDB flat with the help of New Hope. They truly helped us a lot and their people would sacrifice their personal time, to help us move on and acquire a home of our own. Lastly but not least, it can be seen that my family has developed a close relationship with the staff of New Hope. I and my family sincerely thank them for what they have done for us.

We are happy and glad to have a shelter for our family. And there's food ration too! Also it is convenient for the children to go to school. We really appreciate what New Hope has given and done for our family.

I came to the Shelter because of a Court Order taken against me by my wife to expel me from my matrimonial home.

I was recommended by a social worker from MCYS to this shelter. I came for an interview on 10 May 06 and moved in the next day. I am amazed that this shelter is unlike the one in which I have conceived in my mind. It encourages me to move on in life while I wait to settle my problems at home.

I do hope for a reconciliation with my wife and children. Having been separated now from them, I begin to learn how to love them more with each passing day. I am also thankful that lately I have been given opportunities to spend with my children. I want to thank everyone in this shelter for extending a helping hand to me.

We wish to express our appreciation to New Hope for the assistance rendered when we were homeless. Being homeless, we were stressed with lots of problems. We did not know what to do to survive. With New Hope's help, we gained confidence and security for our children. Our children are back to school and life is getting better. We look forward to be able to contribute back in whatever ways we can afford.
